The Imagine Arts Festival 2014

Kaleidoscope together with our partners The Belfast Waterfront and Ulster Hall are delighted to announce the launch of this year’s Imagine Arts Festival for Older People.

This year’s event will take place on Wednesday 5th November at the magnificent Ulster Hall and include a host of wonderful events, workshops and performances especially for older people.

The highlight of this year’s festival will be not one but two spectacular Tea Dance events featuring the sensational John Trotter Trio.

There’ll be free workshops on offer in Ballroom Dancing, Creative Writing, Painting and many more. There also be a chance to roll up your sleeves and try out creative pursuits like felt making, gardening, cookery and many others.

Visitors can take enjoy live performances in the group space or take a stroll through the corridors of the Ulster Hall and discover a host of wonderful exhibitions exploring the story of Belfast Shipyards, the Ulster Hall's own rich sporting history or the Belfast Print Workshop’s wonderful Lantern Light Intergenerational Project.

This year’s Festival will also include a new Information Centre where visitors can go to get advice and support from a whole range of organisations and agencies involved in working with older people such as Engage With Age, Advice NI, CRUSE, the Reminiscence Network and many others.

At the end of a truly memorable day visitors can relax and unwind in the Ulster Hall's cafe area while enjoying some live music and chatting with friends old and new.

The entire Festival Programme is completely free to over 60’s but early booking is strongly recommended as all of ticketed activities fill up very fast. Tickets are available to book at the Waterfront Box Office.
