Get Help With Your Finances At The Money Market, The Quays Shopping Centre, Newry

Do you want to be more in control of your finances but don’t know where to start? Then come along to a Money Market in the Quays Shopping Centre, Newry on Saturday 9 November from 10.00am – 3.00pm.

The Money Market, part of Money Week 2013, is one of a number of events organised by the Financial Capability Partnership NI in conjunction with Newry and Mourne District Council.

The Money Market will see members of the Financial Capability Partnership NI come together to provide a wide range of information and resources in an effort to help give people the skills and confidence to manage their money better.

A range of organisations will be in attendance, covering areas such as:

  • Budgeting;
  • Saving;
  • Management of debt;
  • Benefits entitlement; and
  • Financial planning.

Aodhan O’Donnell, Chair of the Financial Capability Partnership NI said: “Consumers are finding it increasingly difficult to make ends meet, so it’s important we learn how to take control of our finances. The Money Market will help to achieve this. Experts will be on hand to give information on a wide range of financial issues, which could really make a difference to our finances. We are looking forward to meeting consumers from the Newry and Mourne area and we would encourage everyone to drop by anytime between 10.00am and 3.00pm and take advantage of the services on offer.”

Furthermore, Danske Bank and Cahoots NI are also joining forces to provide a unique twist to the Money Market as they interact with local consumers in a theatrical format by promoting numeracy through maths busking.
