Barnardo's Ni and PwC win Fundraising Partnership of the Year Award 2018 from the Institute of Fundraising

Fundraising Partnership of the Year Award 2018

Barnardo's NI is delighted to have won the Institute of Fundraising Partnership of the Year Award 2018 through its partnership with PwC.

The two year partnership has seen over £100,000 raised which has supported Barnardo's NI Forward Steps Sleep Programme pilot for children with autism, a new sensory room for its Willowgrove Service for 5-17 year olds with a learning disability or life limiting condition, and plans are underway for a new wheelchair accessible outdoor play area also at Willowgrove which is based in Banbridge.
However, the partnership has gone beyond fundraising with PwC volunteering at different services to clean play areas, tidy gardens and takeover shops. Barnardo's staff have also engaged with PwC to create much needed resources and support, including new leaflets for our Child Bereavement Service, interview and employment skills for our Dr B's trainees and supporting its East Belfast Family Connections with its summer scheme.
The award from the Institute of Fundraising recognises how integrated the partnership has been and the fact it has gone beyond fundraising,
The Barnardo's/PwC parternship was up against 12 other submissions for the award.
