Free Money Mentors course returns in March – book your place now!
Do you provide money management advice and support to people in the community? Would you like to update your skills in mentoring and money management?
Due to popular demand, NOW Group’s Training Team is holding another free, accredited Money Mentors course in March! Places are limited, and available on a first come, first served basis, so sign up as soon as you can.
The Money Mentors course is part of the Money for Life Programme, which NOW Group manages in Northern Ireland on behalf of Lloyds’ Banking Group, and is open to the whole community.
Focusing on developing skills for financial capability advice work, it is particularly useful for those working in charities, housing associations, local authorities, Citizens Advice Bureau and other community organisations.
Accredited by OCN at Level 2, it will be delivered over two days, two weeks apart at Ortus Business Development Agency, Filor Building, Twinspires Complex, 155 Northumberland Street, Belfast, BT13 2JF.
The dates are Wednesday 1ST March and Wednesday 15 March, from 9.30am to 4.30pm. Please note that both days must be attended and lunch will be provided.
The course is free of charge and the qualifications are fully funded by Lloyd’s Banking Group.
There is a written assignment included and the course tutor will offer support and guidance to help with this.
The course has 8 modules:
1. Financial information, advice and guidance
2. Boundaries in meeting the requirements of clients
3. Meeting financial IAG requirements of clients
4. Effective communication skills
5. Values, beliefs and attitudes towards money
6. Independent study
7. Strategies for resolving financial problems
8. Recognising your own skills and development needs (not assessed)
