Double win for The Consumer Council at UK Complaint Handling Awards

The Consumer Council, who are the statutory complaints body for transport, energy, water and postal services in Northern Ireland, picked up two awards at the 2019 UK Complaints Handling Awards in London.

The awards saw The Consumer Council presented the Silver Award in the Pro-active Complaints Handling Category, where they were up against HSBC, United Utilities and Teleperformance, and the Bronze Award in Complaints Management Process (Business to Consumer) where other finalists included NHS (Northern Trust), HSBC, Vitality Health, and The Language Shop. 

John French, Chief Executive of The Consumer Council, said: “I am delighted to see the hard work and commitment of our staff recognised at these prestigious national UK awards.  In particular, I am pleased that the judging panel commended and highlighted the innovative steps that The Consumer Council has taken to ensure our complaint handling service is fully accessible to all consumers in Northern Ireland.”
