Dobbies digs deep for Cancer Focus NI

Frank Mooty, General Manager at Dobbies Lisburn, said: “We're delighted to be supporting Cancer Focus NI in providing vital funding and support to families and carers who have been affected by cancer living locally.

"Every penny raised by our staff will go directly to helping to change the lives of those affected by cancer right here in Lisburn and Northern Ireland. We always aim high and we look forward to helping raise a huge amount of money over the course of the year for Cancer Focus NI.

"Dobbies is 150 years old this year and we feel there’s no better way for us to commemorate this landmark occasion than giving back to a charity close to our community.”

 Eoin Treanor, Community Fundraiser at Cancer Focus NI, said: “We're thrilled that Dobbies Lisburn chose us as their new charity partner for 2015. We're delighted to be associated with such a well-known company that really is at the heart of the local community. 

"We know that Dobbies is not just a committed retailer but extremely committed to helping the people in their community and supporting local charities. The money that we raise makes a real difference to people affected by cancer, their families and their carers." 

Dobbies' staff will spend the next year raising money through sporting challenges, events and raffles, while Cancer Focus NI will organise monthly collections and raising cancer awareness at information days at the centre.
