Daughter’s Charity Fundraising keeps Mums Memory Alive

The young event planner has been busy organising the ‘Coffee and Cake Morning’ which will be held on Saturday 12th May from 10am to 12.30pm at Bloomfield Presbyterian Church,Cyprus Avenue,Belfast.  Everyone is welcome to come along and for a donation to UCF, you can enjoy some delicious home cooked tray bakes, cakes and treats. 

Sarah, her brother Daniel and her Dad Philip, together with the Ulster Cancer Foundation, set up the ‘Helen Elizabeth Lowry Forget Me Not Fund’ and with the help of family, friends and work colleagues they have raised a tremendous £7,794.05.  All money raised for the fund is donated in Helen’s name to UCF, helping to fund vital cancer support and care services for cancer patients and their families inNorthern Ireland.

UCF was the first charity inNorthern Irelandto introduce Forget Me Not tribute funds, which is a special way of giving donations to the charity.

 Claire Hudson from UCF said, “I would like to thank Sarah and her family and friends for their ongoing support and effort to fundraising for UCF.  Setting up a Forget Me Not Fund in the name of a loved one is a very special way to remember someone and celebrate their life, whilst raising much needed funds for UCF.  Some people choose to set up a fund in honour of a loved one, friend or colleague who has passed away, whilst others will set up a fund to celebrate surviving cancer.  Family, friends and work colleagues can all support the funds - in any way that is right for them and for as long as they like.”
