Danske Bank and Aurora Aquatics and Leisure Complex staff get on their bikes in aid of Cancer Focus

On Friday 26th April, Claire Inglis from Danske Bank along with her husband Glyn Inglis, Fitness Instructor, and Steve Conn, Facility Manager, from Bangor Aurora cycled an amazing 400 miles on exercise bikes in Bloomfield Shopping Centre.

On Friday 26th April, Claire Inglis from Danske Bank along with her husband Glyn Inglis, Fitness Instructor, and Steve Conn, Facility Manager, from Bangor Aurora Aquatics and Leisure Complex, will cycle an amazing 400 miles on exercise bikes in Bloomfield Shopping Centre Mall. To make things even more difficult they have set themselves a time limit of just 3 hours.

They planned this event to support Danske Bank’s Managing Director of Personal Banking, Tony Wilcox, who is embarking on a 400 mile charity cycle challenge next week.  Tony will be setting off on Wednesday 1 May beginning inDublinand ending in Belfast City Centre on Friday 3 May.

Claire Inglis, Danske Bank, Bloomfield branch added, “It is fantastic that Aurora have joined with us in making this spinning event happen locally and we hope shoppers on Friday morning will support us in aid of Cancer Focus Northern Ireland. Given that this is the Bank’s charity partner we wanted to help the charity to be able to support more children by fundraising.”

Steve Conn, Facility Manager, said, “We are proud to support Danske Bank in the charity fundraising event for Cancer Focus NorthernIreland. Having just opened one of Northern Ireland’s premier leisure facilities we are now looking forward to our next challenge… 400 miles in 3 hours and we plan to help raise plenty of money for the charity’s Family Support Service!”
