BBC Radio Ulster Appeal on behalf of Special Educational Needs Advice Centre (Senac)

The Special Educational Needs Advice Centre (Senac) was set up in 2003 by parents of children with learning difficulties.

The charity provides information, advice and advocacy and aims to ensure that children achieve a better future by accessing appropriate education provision. Senac also directs parents/carers and professionals to other groups and organisations that may be able to offer assistance that is specific to the needs of individual children.

Senac offer a confidential advice line 028 9079 5779. It is run by a team of trained volunteers and they receive hundreds of calls each year from parents/carers and professionals seeking advice and information.
