BBC One Northern Ireland Lifeline Appeal on behalf of Reminiscence Network Northern Ireland

The Reminiscence Network Northern Ireland was established in 1998. It provides support to a range of people and organisations that are involved in reminiscence activities.

The Network seeks to develop the skills, knowledge and expertise of those who are facilitating reminiscence sessions – providing opportunities for the sharing of best practice and new ideas. It operates on a region-wide basis and has developed links with similar groups across Europe.

Some of the charity’s work focusses on the role which reminiscence can play in helping people deal with the effects of dementia. It also includes advice-giving and projects that deal with inter-generational themes.
