
ASCERT Shortlisted for Best Flexible Working Strategy at CIPD NI Awards 2023
ASCERT were the only charity listed in any of the categories which included Best Inclusion and Diversity Strategy, Excellence in Learning & Development, Best People Team and the Best Flexible Working Strategy.
Some of Northern Ireland's largest employers and worldwide corporations were nominated within other categories including PwC, First Derivatives, Northern Ireland Water, Danske Bank, FinTRU, Almac Group, Fibrus and Coca-Cola HBC.
ASCERT's application was presented to a panel from CIPD NI by Siobhan Wolfe, Director of Corporate Services & Finance and Ella Wyse, Human Resources Manager, where they were interviewed about the strategy subsequently informed that ASCERT had made the shortlist.
Musgrave won the award on the night but ASCERT were extremely proud to have made the shortlist alongside such competition from much larger corporations.
ASCERT Chief Executive Gary McMichael said "I am delighted ASCERT were runner in the CIPD NI 2023 Awards. We are only a small charity but have demonstrated the success of our flexible working strategy as being one of the best in Northern Ireland. This is testament to the management team involved in its development and to the staff team at ASCERT, who benefit from our flexible approach allowing continued delivery of our vital drug and alcohol services to communities across the country."
Gary continued "We may not have walked away with the award on the night, but we are extremely proud to have been shortlisted and demonstrate the life changing work ASCERT provides to young people, adults and families to reduce the harm caused by alcohol and drugs, and support positive change"
