Advice NI's Make the Most of Your Money Programme
For those who want advice on how to manage their money more effectively and take control of their finances, Advice NI is running a free Money Advice Support Programme; Make the Most of Your Money, across Northern Ireland.
The programme covers the following:
- Budgeting and maximising income
- Borrowing money and good/bad credit
- Coping with money problems
- Raising the issue of debt in the home
The programme is funded by Ulster Bank’s Community Impact Fund and managed by the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland. Bob Stronge, CEO at Advice NI said:
“Advice NI has wanted for some time to be involved in an education programme to reduce the cycle of debt and to benefit people who are struggling financially and/or are in debt. The Ulster Bank Community Impact Fund has allowed us to offer financial education workshops for the first time.”
If you are interested in participating on the programme please contact Michelle on 02890 645 919 or e-mail training@adviceni.net. Places are limited so early response is recommended.
Debt Action NI is another Advice NI project providing a free money and debt advice service across Northern Ireland. Last year the service advised and supported 8,400 clients who had debts totalling approximately £125 million. Clients can access the free service via the website: www.debtaction-ni.net, by ringing the Freephone helpline: 0800 917 4607 or texting ‘ACTION’ to 81025.
