An Introduction to Advice Pro

CASE RECORDING TRAINING
A secure case recording system that meets funder requirements
Title/Reference: An Introduction to Advice Pro (Ref: AP/2015/OCT)
About the Course:
This one day training course provides an introduction to Advice Pro, a secure case management application. Effective case management is an integral part of the advice provision process. This practical course is designed to provide advisers with a good understanding of the features and functionality that Advice Pro has to offer.
Who Should Attend?
The course is designed for advisers using the Advice Pro case management system.
Location/Time/Date:
The course will run on the 14th October 2015. It will be delivered at Advice NI offices in Belfast. The course runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
Fees: There is a charge (per person) of £100 to Advice NI Members, £135 to Voluntary and Community Sector organisations and £175 to Private and Statutory Sector organisations.
CPD Hours: There are 6 CPD hours available for this course.
Educational/Professional Framework:
This course can be used as evidence towards a range of units in our Advice and Guidance NVQ’s and Legal Advice qualifications including ‘Manage Personal Case Load’ (Unit 14). It is also linked to the National Occupational Standards for Legal Advisers including ‘IA2– Manage Legal Advice Cases’.

Understanding Age Legislation and Social Policy in Aging

About the Course:
This detailed and comprehensive session will focus on the legal and social policy framework of aging and includes:
- Age Legislation in Northern Ireland including employment law and Age
- Aging and Social Policy
- Becoming a more Age Friendly organisation
- Understanding demographic change and the aging population.
This workshop will include practical simulations for best practice in drawing up Age Positive recruitment campaigns, a policy discussion on the potential for goods facilities and services legislation in Northern Ireland and an examination of Age Demographic change on a global level and how it affects the policy agenda.

The course is designed for anyone working with or employing older people.

About the Course:
Employers have a legal duty of care to do as much as possible to keep their staff safe. Employees, who are well trained in how to detect, react to and report potential risks and acts of aggression or violence are better equipped to make safer, more rational choices in the face of aggression and violence at work and can manage the aftermath of such incidents and report on them more effectively.
Our full day training course aims to raise your organisational awareness in best practice for lone working and will enable you to develop the skill set to formulate best practice polices in lone working and personal safety for dissemination to your staff or review your existing policies. The course will include the provision of best practice template materials for your organisations use including a 75 page lone working manual.
Who Should Attend?
The course is designed for managers and supervisors of staff who work with clients and the general public or others within the organisation involved in policy development or lone working issues.

The course will run on the 20th October 2015. It will be delivered at Advice NI offices in Belfast. The course runs from 9.30am to 4.30pm approximately.
Fees: There is a charge of £75 to Advice NI Members, £95 to Voluntary and Community Sector organisations and £125 to Private and Statutory Sector organisations.
CPD Hours: There are 6 CPD hours available for this course.
Educational/Professional Framework:
This course can be used as evidence towards a range of units in our Advice and Guidance NVQ’s and Legal Advice qualifications including ‘Develop and Manage Interviews with Clients’. It is also linked to the National Occupational Standards for Legal Advisers including ‘SFJ GC9: Contribute to the prevention and management of inappropriate behaviour’.
