Advice NI launches new Adviser NI Qualifications

These exciting new qualifications cover the skills, knowledge, processes and practice of providing multi-channel advice on social security benefits in Northern Ireland.

The course covers all advice skills required for individuals to meet the Northern Ireland Advice Quality Standard and introduces learners to the core advice topics for generalist advisers. Learners will gain an understanding of social security benefits and how to advise clients regarding social security benefits’ issues, with fully up to date content for Welfare Reforms and legacy benefits. These qualifications provide learners with the fundamental skills for advice provision along with an understanding of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements for providing generalist and specialist advice. In the Extended Certificate the learner will also understand the importance and application of continuing professional development. These qualifications provide an entry route for those new to the advice sector to attain an industry standard accredited qualification, and an opportunity for existing advisers to re-fresh and gain accreditation for their knowledge and skills.
