YMCA Lurgan are looking to recruit a motivated and caring Support Worker, to assist in the delivery of our Independent Living Programme for young people aged 14-17 with learning and/or physical disabilities. The person appointed will work alongside the Independent Living Programme team to deliver a weekly programme for young people which includes a Tuesday evening session, Monthly Saturday trips, a week long summer scheme and at least 1 residential.

The Independent Living Programme is a year long programme for young people with learning/ physical disabilities. The project focuses on 3 key areas for the participants-

  • Social development
  • Independent living skills, and
  • Personal Development
