Do you have a little extra time on your hands? Have you skills gained during your working life? Would you be interested in becoming a volunteer on Armagh Rural Transport’s Management Committee? We are seeking motivated board members for ART

About The Opportunity: Armagh Rural Transport is a dynamic organisation which provides group and individual transport provision to those living in Armagh District. We are looking for a motivated person to join our team of volunteers on the Management Committee, to help make good decisions to take the organisation forward.

Skills/Qualifications: The most important thing to bring is an understanding of the needs of those living in the most rurally isolated parts of Armagh. However we are particularly seeking those who have a background in accounting, business or transport. You also need to be willing to develop skills of strategic planning, problem-solving and teamwork.

Times you can volunteer: Meetings are held once a month usually on a Thursday morning between 10.30am and 12.30pm. In addition, you can get involved in other aspects of the work at other times if you are interested (e.g. assisting on other sub-committees, helping to arrange events, promoting the service, being a spokesperson for the organisation, etc.)
