To improve the educational, training and employment potential of young people in kinship care through the delivery of training, workshops and volunteering/work opportunities.

Salary: £28,000 per annum

Hours:- Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Based in Derry/Londonderry

  • A relevant (recognised qualification in health and social care, community development or related field (Minimum NVQ level II or equivalent).
  • Proven work experience working with vulnerable/disadvantaged young people and/or families.
  • Proven work experience delivering education/training programmes in the community.
  • Experience of supervising and supporting volunteers.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the support needs of care experienced young people in Northern Ireland.
  • Excellent work ethic.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly able to deliver information in an engaging manner to suit a variety of audiences.
  • A current driving licence with access to a car. (Can be waived in the case of applicant whose disability prohibits driving, but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements).
