Training and Education Officer

The Training and Education Officer is a key role for Nexus NI. They will be responsible for developing, delivering and evaluating training and education programmes to various audiences across Northern Ireland.

The primary responsibilities and duties of the role:

  • Develop, design and deliver training and education projects to support the work of Nexus NI to a range of audiences
  • Responsible for the development of training materials for both accredited and non-accredited courses within the organisation
  • Identify and develop opportunities to provide training to external agencies
  • Develop and design an annual calendar of training events for external delivery
  • Support the development of the training section for Nexus NI website along with the design and delivery of an annual calendar of training events
  • Managing the development and maintenance of a database of parties interested in training from Nexus NI.
  • Act as Internal Verifier for accredited courses with awarding bodies on behalf of the organisation.
  • Work with SMT to develop income generation through training provision in line with strategic objectives
  • Develop online training and education content and resources for a variety of courses
  • Working with SMT to ensure all training and education content is reviewed on an ongoing basis and is up to date and quality assured.
  • Undertaking the monitoring and evaluation of all training and education sessions
  • Comply with all Nexus NI disclosure policies and procedures
  • Providing information and data to complete funders reports and compile reports to senior managers on a regular basis
  • To undertake relevant/ongoing training and participate in own professional development
  • Attend events as and when appropriate to information gather, raise awareness or deliver Nexus training.
  • Work within the policies and procedures of Nexus at all times
  • Comply with and promote safe working practices for yourself and others in accordance with Nexus Health & Safety policy
  • Liaise and work with senior managers on relevant tasks
  • Liaise with other departments to develop new training and education services within the organisation in line with strategic objectives
  • Provide internal training to Nexus staff on a variety of topics
  • Any other duties as required by the role
