We are looking for support workers for Foyle Young People's Service in Derry/Londonderry.

 

What’s the Role:  Support Worker

An important part of the staff role is to support the needs of individuals through the ethos and values of Praxis Care.

 

So the ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.

 

Our dedicated staff team support our individuals to learn and develop their skills to aid in their independence. Each staff member has something to bring to the role and we encourage staff to use their humour and sense of fun and creativity in supporting our individuals with day to day life.

 

Where You Would Work:  Foyle Young People’s Service

 

Foyle Young People’s Service offers support to young people in the project and in the community. These young people have complex needs and potentially emotional behaviours. The service offers a range of support including; setting up home, maintaining a home, developing social needs and life skills, benefit advice and budgeting and health and well-being. Foyle Young People’s Service promotes the principles of choice, dignity and confidentiality. A person centred approach is utilised and each young person is involved and empowered to gain independence.

Salary Details:

 

Support Worker

(Day and Night Shifts Available)

*£24,133 - £26,647 per annum

 

 

 

 

*Salary based on 39 hours per week. Where the role requires sleep-ins, a minimum additional payment of £45.00 per night applies.
