The successful candidate will work across both our sites at Colin Park, 115 Black’s Road, Belfast, BT10 10NF and Colin Glen Forest Park & Adventure Centre, 163 Stewartstown Rd, Belfast BT17 0HW.

Activities on offer include High Ropes Course, Climbing Wall, Bubble Football, Archery, Kayaking, Mountain Biking, Laser Tag, Bushcraft, Orienteering, Football, Nerf, Environmental Education & Events etc. We are also very excited to be planning to add to our already extensive list within the next year to include a Dome covered football pitch, an Alpine Coaster, Mountain Bike Tracks and Super Zip-lines. The post holder will have the opportunity to work and be trained in all these activities delivering to a wide range of audiences including schools, youth, corporate, families and individuals.

MAIN DUTIES:-

1.    To work as part of a pool of Multi Sport Instructors to facilitate activities, programmes, sports coaching sessions etc as and when required.

2.    To work a number of hours per week as per the rota on reception, selling stock, activities, updating the booking system /data bases and answering telephones.

3.    The development and delivery of programmes and events at key times of year in line with targets.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:-

Reporting to the Colin Park Complex Manager, the post holder will be responsible for the following: -

1.        To give support to the overall execution of the business in delivering high quality innovate activities and programmes whilst ensuring excellent customer service and maximizing revenue opportunities.

2.        Develop opportunities for new activities and programmes to increase recreational opportunities for our current users and potential users.

3.        Manage sport and outdoor activity programmes from inception to delivery.

4.        Contribute to the development and implementation of sports development plans and other strategies.

5.        Encourage increased participation amongst adults and children through local partnerships.

6.        Work in partnership with local teams to promote and encourage use of our facilities.

7.        Work to develop a range of partnerships throughout the health, community, local government and education sectors.

8.        Strict adherence to health and safety regulations with regard to the buildings, equipment, staff and the public at all times.

9.        Be aware of funding opportunities.

10.    Evaluate and monitor all activities, projects and programmes using key performance indicators.

11.    Maintain records and produce reports as required.

12.    Attend meetings, seminars, training courses as required.

13.    To assist in the organization of events, such as football tournaments, summer schemes on key dates throughout the year.

14.    Adapt to the needs of the business and be flexible around shift patterns.

15.    Act as a keyholder as necessary.

16.    You must have the flexibility to work across a number of functions in accordance with the needs of the business, e.g.:  reception, outdoor activities, coaching.

17.    Housekeeping duties.

18.    Front of house duties to include answering telephone calls, taking bookings and dealing face to face with customers, sales to include till operation and cash ups.

19.    Administration tasks as necessary.

20.    Selling a range of products, services, offers and packages to customers.

21.    Achieving set targets.

22.    Any other duties as required.
