Sessional Complementary Therapist

The therapist should preferably have 3 years’ experience working in the community and have at least one year working with victims and survivors.
The therapist must be a member of a professional body. Professional bodies must be registered with:
- General Regulatory Council of Complementary Therapies (GRCCT).
- Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
- Health Professions Council (HPC)
- Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT).
Therapists must have their own professional insurance and will require an Enhanced Access NI check for MAPS clients.
Therapists will be required to:
- Provide complementary therapies in a confidential manner with our members.
- Provide therapies within the MAPS premises.
- Have empathy and understanding to the needs of the service user.
- Carry out pre and post testing with the service user using the MYMOP assessment and valuation tool.
- Provide feedback to the MAPS coordinator if referrals to other services are required.
Applicants must be able to provide a range of therapies including:
- Indian Head Massage.
- Ear Candling.
- Reflexology.
- Body Massage.
Applicants should indicate cost per session.
Please note, there is no allowance for travel or materials so please ensure that these costs are covered within the tender price you provide for carrying out the therapies.
