Location: Pennybridge Industrial Estate, Ballymena, Antrim BT42 3HB

Hours: 20 per week

Salary: £21,840 per annum based on 35 hours per week (£12,480 per annum for 20 hours per week)

Contract Type: Permanent

As a Service Assistant, you will provide operational and administrative support within our Mobility Aids Service. The team arrange loans of wheelchairs to people within the Northern Health and Social Care Trust area. The work you will do will have such a positive impact on the lives of the people we help!

  

What does the role of Service Assistant involve?

  • Providing clerical and operational assistance. This may include dealing with face to face queries and calls, processing invoices, and working across different systems.
  • Working alongside our existing volunteers and staff, providing outstanding customer service when interacting with service users in person, on the phone, and online.
  • Ensuring that the delivery service, stock control and other administrative systems meet the needs of the service and maintain smooth and efficient operations. 


What does it take to be a successful Service Assistant?

  • You have sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office and have the confidence and ability to learn new software and databases.
  • You have excellent communication and customer service skills and you are at ease handling financial transactions.
  • You are confident dealing with queries from customers, hospitals and referring agencies in a positive and professional manner.
  • You have great organisational skills and can prioritise tasks and manage your workload in a busy environment.
