
Respite work on a 1-1 or 2-1 basis may be carried out later in the evening on weekdays, eg- 4pm - 7pm. Applicants must have a clean driving licence and be over 25 (for insurance purposes) to avail of Sólás vehicles (8 seater mini van) to complete respite work. Applicants must be comfortable driving 8 seater van.
Consideration may be given to applicants under 25 if they are prepared to drive their own vehicle for Respite Care and have Business Insurance on their vehicle.
Successful applicants must have at least 1 years experience supporting children with ASD / addition needs and a minimum of Level 3 in childcare related subject.
Current Days available are Monday / Wednesday / Friday / Saturday Day.
You could work either indoors or outside, depending on location and the type of activity. Applicants should have previous experience working with children with additional needs. Your work will usually be very active, and will require an understanding of autism and knowledge of supporting young people with special needs. You may be required to do bus escort for pickups and attend team meetings. All Sólás staff must have a ‘can do’ attitude, be enthusiastic and flexible, and commit to ensuring that all children and young people in our care enjoy a safe and enjoyable experience.
