Marketing and Communications Officer
Controlled Schools' Support Council
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Applicants must, at the closing date for applications, meet the following eligibility criteria:
EITHER
- A Bachelor’s degree relevant to the post[1] (UK Qualification and Credit Framework level 6 or equivalent) plus two years’ experience working in the marketing and communications function of an organisation.
OR
- A Bachelor’s degree (UK Qualification and Credit Framework level 6 or equivalent) plus three years’ experience working in the marketing and communications function of an organisation.
Applicants must also have:
- Demonstrable experience of successful marketing and / or communications of an organisation.
- Demonstrable experience of working with the media including print, broadcast and digital media.
- Demonstrable experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
In the event of a large number of applications meeting the above essential criteria the following desirable criteria will be applied in the order listed below to shortlist applications:
Priority One
- Demonstrable experience of preparing press releases, articles and reports
Priority Two
- Demonstrable experience of using digital media for PR purposes
Priority Three
- Demonstrable experience of the strategic role of marketing and/or communications within an organisation
[1] A relevant qualification is a qualification related to the duties or responsibilities of the role.

Annual Leave
The annual leave entitlement for the post is 23 days per annum increasing to 30 days after 5 years of continuous service. In addition there are 12 public holidays per year.
Hours
- This is a full-time role
- The hours of work are 36 hours per week
- The post holder will be required to work the necessary hours to successfully carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role
