The Koram Centre is currently recruiting for the position of Manager. 

The Koram Centre is a registered charity within the community and voluntary sector and a limited company. Its main purpose is to provide counselling, psychotherapy and psychosocial support to those suffering with mental ill health and/or emotional distress.

The main purpose of the manager’s job is to lead, manage, promote and support the work of The Koram Centre

  • Managing a counselling centre

  • Managing volunteers
  • Working in an organisational setting in the community and voluntary sector
  • Making successful funding applications
  • Reporting to funders
  • Recruiting and managing staff and volunteers
  •  Dealing with vulnerable clients
  •  Counselling or Clinical Supervision
  • Fundraising

Competency

  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  •  Use initiative and be proactive
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to keep clear boundaries
  • A reflective practitioner
  • The ability to be flexible
  • The ability to converse with a diverse range of people at all levels

Knowledge of

  • Sound knowledge of the counselling world
  • Procurement of goods and services   
  • Creating an effective strategic plan and bringing it to fruition
