Macmillan Strategic Partnership Manager - Northern Ireland
Permanent
Part-time, 17.25 hours per week
Home Based
£51,500 to £57,500 per annum (pro rata)

Do you have expert knowledge of the health and care system and experience working with senior stakeholders across the sector? Are you experienced in developing and integrating services with other organisations? Would you like to use your transferable skills to help improve the lives of people living with cancer?

The role
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the operational implementation of Macmillan's Strategy in Northern Ireland, and developing strategic relationships and proposals with partners. You will support, advise and influence these partnerships to be able to deliver improved cancer services, offering quality care to people living with cancer (both Macmillan and non-Macmillan). You will need to demonstrate experience of managing and implementing complex change across a range of organisations and professions, and a demonstrable experience of service improvement and system redesign.

About you
We are looking for someone with senior management experience and well-established networks within cancer care, who can join our partnership team in a senior role. The successful applicant will be self-motivated, open minded and demonstrate authenticity and integrity. You will have skills and experience of influencing beyond boundaries, negotiation, strategic planning, relationship management at a senior level and people management. Programme management skills could be an asset, but not essential. You will have a track record of initiating and embedding change or improvement, and be passionate about putting people with cancer at the centre of their care. The role will involve frequent media and high profile spokesperson opportunities, so confidence in this area is desirable.

Macmillan encourages work/life balance and flexible working. This role is 0.5 FTE, which can be arranged to suit the successful candidates preferred working hours.
