Workforce is currently seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and creative Joinery Tutor who is willing to share their skills with others. The job will be to train young people for entry into the construction industry.

38 hours per week

Workforce is currently seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and creative Joinery Tutor who is willing to share their skills with others. The job will be to train young people for entry into the Joinery Industry.

Essential Criteria

  • A minimum Level 2 qualification or above in joinery.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a joiner in the construction industry. 
  • Current driving license and access to own vehicle. 

Desirable Criteria

  • A Level 3 qualification or above in Joinery.
  • Previous experience of training and assessing joinery in a Further Education setting and/or Training Organisation.
  • Certificate in Teaching Qualification 
  • TAQA Assessor Award Qualification. 
  • Grade A*-C in GCSE Maths & English or equivalent.

Salary: £31,638.40 (reviewed annually in April).

A Christmas and Summer Discretionary Award is also paid (dependant on the organisation making a profit).

Holidays: 38 days annual leave (runs January to December).

Pension: 

10.5% Pension contribution (3.5% employee and 7% employer).

Death in service benefit.

Flexible Working:
2 Weeks of working from home will be facilitated within the summer break.

1 Month full occupational sick pay.

Length of Service Awards:

1 additional day’s leave for 5 years’ service.

2 additional days’ leave for 10 years’ service.

£250 + 2 additional days’ leave for 15 years’ service.

£500 + 2 additional days’ leave for 20 years’ service.

£750 + 2 additional days’ leave for 25 years’ service.
