Job Title: ICT Manager                      

Locations: 182-188 Cambrai Street, Belfast, BT13 3JH

Contract: Permanent

Responsible To: Head of Employment Services

Objective: To drive positive change, with strong communication and marketing skills to effectively promote our mission and initiatives.

Hours: 35 (Monday to Thursday 8.15am-4.30pm, Friday 8.15am-12.15pm)

Salary: £35,426 to £39,800 per annum (Currently under review. New appointees normally start at the bottom of the scale)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ICT Manager to join our company; we are dedicated to supporting people with disabilities to gain employment opportunities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about driving positive change, with strong ICT and communications skills. The ICT Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the ICT Department, ICT Helpdesk and contracts management.

 

Job Description:

  • To manage an internal ICT helpdesk to support staff ensuring appropriate response times.
  • To manage the ICT support assistants in ensuring they provide appropriate support for users.
  • Work with staff and senior management to drive improvement and developments within ICT in line with company requirements and the company corporate plan/business plan.
  • To manage, maintain and develop the company ICT infrastructure and services.
  • To plan, develop and implement a company ICT strategy.
  • To ensure tested disaster recovery measures are in place for the company with appropriate backup solutions.
  • To manage a yearly ICT budget in line with procurement guidance.
  • To manage and procure ICT services in line with central procurement guidance.
  • To arrange and manage contracts with appointed ICT & Telecommunication providers.
  • To manage the disposal of ICT assets as per department guidance.
  • To ensure service level agreements and contracts are in place for third party ICT suppliers.
  • To provide senior management support in relation to ICT services for their departments.
  • To plan, implement and develop the company CRM software in line with company requirements.
  • To continue to develop the ICT division for the company in line with technology advances.
  • To manage process changes and change requests.
  • To ensure processes are digitalised where possible.
  • To ensure the company is fully protected against Cyber Security attacks.
  • Lead the company ICT support division, motivate, and inspire staff to deliver an outstanding service to the company staff.
  • Any additional duties as required.

 

Person Specification:

Essential

  • Relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent certification in an ICT area.
  • At least 2 years’ experience of managing an ICT department including a support/helpdesk function and contract management.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities to manage complex issues as they arise.
  • Knowledge and experience of ICT programmes, networks, hardware and internet technologies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a range of staff and users of all abilities and technical knowledge.

Desirable

  • Experience of managing CRM’s such as Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Experience in managing cloud-based server technologies and virtual machines.

 

Technical Skills

  • Experience in managing complex issues with a Microsoft Office 365 suite of products.
  • Experience of managing a business environment using Microsoft technologies such as InTune.
  • Experience in managing escalations relating to networking, hardware and internet technologies.
  • Experience in implementing new software and digital processes.
  • Experience in managing server and cloud-based technologies (serverless) in particular the Microsoft Azure and Windows 2012R2 server environments.
  • Experience of researching and implementing new technological solutions. 
  • Ability to tailor technological language to a user-friendly language to non-technical staff and end users.
