Housing Association Receptionist Administrator

The Housing Association Receptionist/Administrator will provide reception services and administrative support for core functions and will be line managed by the Senior Corporate Services Officer. The Senior Corporate Services Officer will allocate work tasks and provide direction on all requirements.
The successful applicant will also be required to provide a confidential, effective, and efficient administration service to all tenants, residents and customers and provide assistance to all colleagues, as part of a team.
Please note: This role will be office based only and does not qualify for remote/hybrid working.
Essential Criteria – Candidates must have:
Education and Training Attainments:
OR
- 1 years relevant experience in a busy office environment.
Relevant Experience:
- Experience in providing high quality customer service.
- Effective planning, prioritising, and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
Knowledge and Understanding:
- Computer literacy / use of IT systems including Microsoft Office.
Skills and Abilities:
- Confident, dependable, adaptable, and able to work on own initiative.
- Self-motivated with a proactive and collaborative style of working in a team environment.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Discreet in dealing with confidential information.
Special Conditions:
- Availability to work outside normal office hours.
Desirable Criteria:
Education and Training Attainments:
- NVQ Level 2 in Office Administration
Relevant Experience:
- Previous experience of working in administration within a property / housing environment.
- Experience in preparing Agendas and recording Minutes of meetings.
- General reception duties (i.e., call handling and dealing with general enquiries.

Main Terms and Conditions of Employment
- Salary for the post is currently NJC points 7 to 9 £25,584 - £26,409 per annum plus Employer Pension Contribution of 19.5%.
- The post is a full-time position (37 hours per week) with an initial 6-month probationary period.
- Applicant will be eligible to join the NILGOSC (Northern Ireland Local Government Officers’ Superannuation Committee) contributory pension scheme.
- Non-essential mileage allowance will be paid to the post holder.
- Annual Leave: Commencing at 22 days initially, rising to 27 days after 5 years, 30 days after 10 years rising to 32 after 20 years’ service, plus 12 Newington HA recognised statutory holidays.
- Location – The role is based at 300 Limestone Road, Belfast, BT15 3AR; however, the post holder may be expected to be able to travel throughout Northern Ireland and occasionally further afield.
