
Our Homework club for children and young people from refugee families (between 9 -18 years of age) is on from Mondays to Thursdays, 3.30 -5.30pm during term time only.
About the Role:
As a Homework Club volunteer, you’ll spend just 2 hours a week working with children and young people who need extra support with their schoolwork. Many of these students come from refugee backgrounds and are navigating new educational systems. All volunteers will be asked for Access NI (police check) certificate, cost will be covered by Conway Education Centre .
Your role as Homework club volunteer will involve:
- Homework Assistance: Helping students understand and complete their homework tasks.
- Study Skills Development: Providing tips and techniques to improve study habits and boost academic performance.
- Mentorship: Building positive relationships and offering encouragement to students as they grow in their learning journey.
