We are seeking a person who is excited about and enjoys fundraising. You may have some experience or been involved in fundraising and events organisation and you now want to expand your experience in an exciting and growing charity. You will support the fundraising committee by helping them to plan the development of new and existing fundraising projects and events and support the management of and the arrangements for the event. The ideal candidate will be experienced in collaborating within a team environment; energetic and engaged; have strong verbal and written communication skills: and can use digital tools and social media. Your ability to engage with the community and market our initiatives will be crucial in driving Head Injury Support's fund raising efforts.

Responsibilities: 

  • To develop and execute comprehensive plans to meet organisational fund raising targets
  • Promote fund raising initiatives through various channels including social media
  • Support the coordination fundraising events ensuring they are well organised and the logistics are managed effectively 
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors and community partners 
  • Support the management of the end-to-end donor journey to help ensure timely and appropriate communication and acknowledgement to donors 
  • Keep track of donations on micro soft excel and generate on-going figures and donor information. 
  • With the Service Delivery Manager monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising strategies
  • Attend fundraising planning meetings and fundraising events 

 

Requirements:

  • Some experience in fundraising and coordinating arrangements for events 
  • A pro-active approach to problem-solving with strong organisational skills 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to effectively market fundraising events on social media 
  • Strong relationship management skills, demonstrating a commitment to donor satisfaction 
  • Ability to use microsoft Excel and Word

Additional information: 

the position is a temporary (fixed tern contract for 6 months)

It is envisaged that the hours pattern will be Monday - 9 to 5 with a 30 minute break; Wednesday 9 to 5 with a 30 minute break  and Thursday 11 to 7 with a 30 minute break. If successful we can be flexible on hours pattern to try to meet your needs however the one evening is necessary to attend the fund raising committee meeting. There will be occasions when you will be asked to attend weekend fund raising events, in such instances you will be given time off in lieu or you will be paid for the time worked.
