Salary: £25,084 per annum; 40 Hrs pr week (Shift basis to include evenings and weekends)
About Us
You will work for a leading voluntary sector, non-profit making organisation that provides professional advice on housing in Northern Ireland and solutions for people who find themselves in housing difficulties. Our Floating Support Service provides support to service users who are, or who have been experiencing housing difficulties and related issues.
Your New Role at First Housing
You will work as part of a team providing high support (on a 24/7 basis) to homeless individuals who are currently living in temporary accommodation or are identified as chronic homeless, particularly those with challenging behaviour, substance misuse issues, mental health issues and those at risk of offending behaviour within the Derry/Londonderry area.
Minimum Criteria (a Full Job Description and Personnel Specification is available in the Candidate Information Pack)
• Minimum of three GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language.
• A relevant recognised qualification in health and social care or related field (Minimum NVQ level II or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience providing support to families and singles over 18 years old, particularly those with substance misuse issues, mental health issues and those at risk of offending behaviour
• A valid driving licence and access to a car. (if disability prohibits driving, the applicant must be able to organise suitable alternative arrangements)
• IT skills
