Financial Inclusion Officer
Foyle Network Foundation (Foyle Foodbank)

Primary Function
- Deliver a suite of financial inclusion services within Foyle Network Foundation to support those accessing support.
- Responsible and accountable for overseeing and managing the financial inclusion project in accordance with the standards, systems, practices and procedures set out within the policies of the Foyle Network Foundation and within the protocol’s and practices set out Trussell’s Financial Inclusion Programme.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a Financial Inclusion Service at Foyle Network Foundation to include guidance on day-to-day money issues such as how to manage on a low income, resolving credit card debt, affording necessities, how to save, lifestyle budgeting' etc.
- Line manage staff and volunteers to deliver on outcomes of project.
- To build on established links with relevant local advice service agencies to facilitate early referrals into their system.
- Develop and design recording and monitoring systems for the project to include personalised support to individuals and to track progress with referrals.
- Maintain regular communication with referral partners to review processes and ensure continued good practice.
- Work with other organisations to support the work of the Financial Inclusion project such as Money and Pensions Service, Consumer Council etc.
- Develop a training and awareness programme for financial inclusion volunteers.
- Increase volunteers’ skills and versatility to interface with those who use our food bank and access training to assist with dialogue, a listening ear, referral and signposting.
- Reporting - To record and monitor all referrals and outcomes. To provide a yearly outcome-based action plan of work. To provide reports to Director, Trustees and funders as and when required.
- Work alongside the Director to use information gathered to design and deliver in a range of formats to influence policy locally, regionally and nationally.
- Encourage participation from previous beneficiaries and those with lived experience of poverty and amplify their voices through FNF networking and PR campaigns.

Finance
- Comply with FNF finance policy and procedures.
- To work in association with the Director to ensure that proper financial records are kept up to date.

Data
- Ensure that all paperwork and client data is stored securely in keeping with FNF Data Protection Policy.

Other
- Observe strictly the policy and principle of confidentiality.
- Create and maintain good working relations with staff, volunteers, referral agents and stakeholders.
- Take part and access relevant ongoing training including attending various Trussell training workshops and interactive groups.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties required by the Director.
