Family Support Worker

JOB DESCRIPTION Post: Family Support Worker Salary: NJC Scale 3/SCP 6 £23,893 pro rata Job Location: Cherish Sure Start Newtownbutler, covering all Sure Start surrounding areas Responsible to: Family Support Team Leader Time Fraction: 30hrs per week, family flexible working arrangements are available. Pension: 6% Allowance: Travel be paid according to ARC Healthy Living Centre Ltd rates and guidance. JOB PURPOSE The family support worker will provide a range of individual and family interventions in the family home and/or within group-based programmes, to help families make positive changes in their lives and support their children’s wellbeing and early learning. They will promote and develop high quality, evidence-informed early childhood services for young children, their families and communities. The postholder will carry out home visits; providing information on Sure Start services and delivering specific support which has been requested by the families or referrals received from other professionals.
