To develop a range of Intervention Projects that will work directly with children and families to address their needs and to provide practical support.
  • To facilitate and develop the Parent and Toddler Group. 

  • To facilitate and develop the homework club 

  • To develop a drop in ASD/Autism Support Group.  

  • To develop a training programme for parents. 

  • To work in partnership with families to promote and facilitate positive parenting and the enhancement of the role of parents as ‘first educators'.  

  • To contribute to the evaluation and review of needs in individual cases through assessment, observation, and monitoring. 

  • Research Intervention practices, models, and strategies in Education.   

  • To take responsibility to ensure that Safeguarding Procedures, and other relevant policies are followed and updated annually. 

  • To investigate sources and apply for funding and grants applicable to the post.  

  • To participate in regular supervision sessions, attend appropriate meetings and participate in relevant training and development activities.  

  • To carry out all duties in compliance with LOCA Policy and Statutory requirements.  

  • Ensure good standards of health and hygiene are followed and the equipment and the environment are risk assessed and checked regularly for repair. 

  • To carry out manual handling duties in line with the manual handling guidelines as part of the daily role which include lifting and/or moving equipment and children. 

  • Ensure that all written records are appropriately maintained. 

  • To adhere to organisational values and behaviours in all aspects of employment. 

  • To carry out any other duties falling within the competence and capability of the post holder.
