Employment and Mentoring Officer

Responsibilitiies:

• To recruit and motivate participants from the local area onto the Success NW Project 
• To provide intensive one to one support and Mentoring to Success NW participants 
• To identify the needs/barriers of participants accessing training, employment or further education and place participants on relevant training/employment programmes based on their needs. 
• To provide opportunities for participants on the SUCCESS NW project to access numeracy support courses
• To actively market and promote the SUCCESS NW project in the local and surrounding area
• To meet recruitment, retention, numeracy and employment/training targets as agreed
• To reach and engage with economically inactive individuals to provide assistance in obtaining work and undertake outreach work where required
• To provide job search activities which will include CV preparation, speculative letters, assistance with application forms and job search activities

Essential Skills: 

• Applicants must possess a relevant level 3 qualification and 2 years paid experience of working with economically inactive or unemployed people Or 3 years paid experience of working with economically inactive and unemployed people
