The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity.  We want to see a UK rich in native woods and trees, for people and wildlife. The Trust aims to engage and inspire people about woods and trees to help us meet our vision of creating, restoring and protecting woodland. But we can't achieve our vision without you.

THE ROLE

This is a key leadership role, responsible for leading our operations in Northern Ireland, managing a multidisciplinary team focussed on delivering strategy in-line with the Woodland Trust vision. 

The role reports to the Director of UK Operations and is part of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for developing and leading the Trust’s long term strategy.  We’re at an exciting time in our development and looking for someone who can really drive forward our ambitions in Northern Ireland.

THE CANDIDATE

With a strong background of leading and managing teams at a senior level, preferably in the conservation or environmental sector, you’ll be an inspirational leader. Responsible for the delivery of our strategic plan in Northern Ireland you’ll be able to promote the work of the Woodland Trust with energy, flair and imagination to high level partners, funders and stakeholders.

Successful at developing effective relationships, you’ll be a strong communicator with the ability to influence at a senior level, motivate, inspire and shape strategy.
