Job Title: Digital Skills Tutor (Skills for Life and Work)                                    

Location: 182-188 Cambrai Street, Belfast, BT13 3JH

Responsible To: SFLW Operations Manager   

Objective: To ensure all learners reach their potential and achieve their learning targets and qualifications. Ensure professional planning and preparation of schemes of work and lesson plans to maximise learning and retention and qualification attainment.   

Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £25, 218 - £28, 310 per annum (New appointees are normally appointed on the first point of the pay scale)

 

Job Description:

 

Person Specification:     

Essential:

  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English.
  • Hold, be working towards or happy to work towards a recognised teaching qualification, i.e., Certificate in Teaching (UUJ)
  • A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in ICT/Digital Skills
  • A degree obtained at a university in the UK or the Republic of Ireland, of which ICT forms a minimum of 50% of the subject studied, or a degree obtained at any other university, provided the Department accepts the standard and content of that degree as equivalent to those stated above.
  • Experience delivering ICT/Digital Skills or Essential Skills training
  • Ability to engage with and motivate learners to learn to their full capability.

Desirable:

  • Experience of Quality assurance and Internal Verification of Digital Skills/ICT qualifications.
  • Experience of working with individuals who have a disability, health condition or special educational need
