Job details:

• Hours: 20 hours per week (flexibility to work evening and weekends required)
• Salary: £15.58 per hour
• Contract: Until 30th April 2027
• Holidays: 12 statutory days (pro rata) 20 Annual days (pro rata).

Bryson Energy in partnership with Ballyduff Community Redevelopment Group has been successful in obtaining funding from National Lottery Community Fund We will make the greatest difference to Ballyduff's greatest need by simultaneously developing local community leaders, individuals and families to maximise their potential. We will provide residents with much needed interventions and activities to improve education, employment, health, well-being and community cohesion

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• The Community Services Co-ordinator will work alongside the Community Leaders to build, strengthen and sustain relationships within the community
• Manage a team to ensure effective service delivery for identified community-led programmes in the Ballyduff area.
• Provide line management, supervision, and daily support for Community Family / Support workers.
• Compete risk assessments for all events/ programmes and activities.
• Identify Service Users in need of support, provide home visits, signposting and plan, develop and facilitate (or assist in the facilitation of) targeted group sessions.
• To be involved in the planning and implementing of community action plans.
• To be proactive in networking with other community services, schools, statutory organisations etc.
• Develop, plan and facilitate creches, parent & toddler programmes, afterschool groups, home visits, community programmes etc.
• To meet identified targets for participating in the delivery of community led events, home visit sessions and group sessions

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum 1 years Experience in a childcare setting (within the last 5 years)
• NVQ Level 3 Childcare & Education equivalent qualification
• Experience of working within communities
• 5 GCSE’s at grade C and above including English Language
• Knowledge and skills regarding community-based projects
• Proficient in I.T – Microsoft packages
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a sensitive approach to people in need.
