Job details:

  • Hours: 20 hours per week (flexibility to work evening and weekends required)
  • Salary: £15.58 per hour
  • Contract: Until 30th April 2027
  • Holidays: 12 statutory days (pro rata) 20 Annual days (pro rata).

We will provide residents with much needed interventions and activities to improve education, employment, health, well-being and community cohesion

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Community Services Co-ordinator will work alongside the Community Leaders to build, strengthen and sustain relationships within the community
  • Manage a team to ensure effective service delivery for identified community-led programmes in the Ballyduff area.
  • Provide line management, supervision, and daily support for Community Family / Support workers.
  • Compete risk assessments for all events/ programmes and activities.
  • Identify Service Users in need of support, provide home visits, signposting and plan, develop and facilitate (or assist in the facilitation of) targeted group sessions.
  • To be involved in the planning and implementing of community action plans.
  • To be proactive in networking with other community services, schools, statutory organisations etc.
  • Develop, plan and facilitate creches, parent & toddler programmes, afterschool groups, home visits, community programmes etc.
  • To meet identified targets for participating in the delivery of community led events, home visit sessions and group sessions

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 1 years Experience in a childcare setting (within the last 5 years)
  • NVQ Level 3 Childcare & Education equivalent qualification
  • Experience of working within communities
  • 5 GCSE’s at grade C and above including English Language
  • Knowledge and skills regarding community-based projects
  • Proficient in I.T – Microsoft packages
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a sensitive approach to people in need.
