Roles and Responsibilities
Supporting Community and Youth Services
Organise and Support Community Events:
- Plan, promote, and support various community events.
Youth Programmes:
- Assist in the development and delivery of youth-focused activities, including those for Mini Land, Junior Youth Club, and Senior Youth programmes.
- Engage with children and young people, fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
- Help facilitate creative, social, and educational activities.
Cultural Diversity and Cross-Community Programmes:
- Promote and facilitate programmes that encourage cultural diversity and cross-community interaction.
Educational Workshops:
- Organise and support workshops that provide educational opportunities for all ages.
Community Safety Initiatives:
- Participate in initiatives aimed at improving community safety.
Health & Wellbeing Activities:
- Promote and organise activities focused on health and wellbeing.
Senior Citizens Programme:
- Develop and support programmes specifically for senior citizens.
Educational Awareness Workshops:
- Organise workshops aimed at increasing awareness on various topics relevant to the community.
Administration Duties
Financial Record-Keeping:
- Update and maintain records of daily income and expenditures.
- Record all cheques issued and received.
Administrative Support:
- Complete necessary forms related to funding, such as monitoring and evaluation forms.
- Assist with funding applications.
- Maintain up-to-date databases of users and volunteers.
Person Specification
- A friendly and approachable attitude, with a passion for community work.
- An interest in working with children and young people in a youth setting.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic IT skills for administrative tasks.
- The ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
- Flexibility to support evening or weekend activities when required.
- All successful candidates will be required to carry out a full Access NI disclosure.
Please note: post is subject to funding. The role is currently funded until end of March 2025 with hopes of extension.
