Job Title: Community Development Worker

Hours: 18.5 hours per week

Gross Salary:£12.50 an hour

Location: Annadale and Haywood Residents Association

Responsible to: Assisting with the day-to-day running of the office administration, including the upkeep of financial and associated paperwork.

Roles and Responsibilities

Administration Duties:

  • Financial Record-Keeping:
    • Update and maintain records of daily income and expenditures.
    • Record all cheques issued and received.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Complete necessary forms related to funding, such as monitoring and evaluation forms.
    • Assist with funding applications.
    • Maintain up-to-date databases of users and volunteers.
  • Reception and Public Interaction:
    • Provide a reception service for the public.
    • Complete monitoring & evaluation forms, including sign-in sheets and visitors' records.

Supporting Community Development Programme:

  • Organise and Support Community Events:
    • Plan and execute various community events.
  • Youth Programmes:
    • Assist in the development and delivery of youth-focused programmes.
  • Cultural Diversity and Cross-Community Programmes:
    • Promote and facilitate programmes that encourage cultural diversity and cross-community interaction.
  • Educational Workshops:
    • Organise and support workshops that provide educational opportunities for the community.
  • Community Garden Activities:
    • Support and engage with activities related to the community garden.
  • Community Safety Initiative:
    • Participate in initiatives aimed at improving community safety.
  • Health & Wellbeing Activities:
    • Promote and organize activities focused on health and wellbeing.
  • Senior Citizens Programme:
    • Develop and support programmes specifically for senior citizens.
  • Educational Awareness Workshops:
    • Organise workshops aimed at increasing awareness on various topics relevant to the community.
