Cruse Bereavement Support is the UK’s leading Bereavement charity. We help people through one of the most painful times of their lives through bereavement support, information and campaigning.

We’re looking for volunteers to support bereaved children and young people - Can you help? 


Cruse Bereavement Support volunteers provide support to children and young people affected by the death of someone close to them. We provide group support and 1-1 to children aged 7 – 18.  If you have the skills listed below, want to make a difference to bereaved children and young people, and meet new people we want to hear from you.  The opportunity is available across the Northern Ireland region.


What we’re looking for:


Passionate about supporting children and young people
Kind and inclusive              
Great communication skills with children, young people and families
Able to work in a team  
Able to use a computer/IT skills
Willing to take part in training and learn new skills  
Volunteer for 6-8 hours per month for at least 2 years


What happens next?


The Volunteer Role and Initial Criteria are attached.  If you meet the criteria, please contact eleanor.ellerslie@cruse.org.uk who will forward details about Information Session being held on Thursday, 17 October at 1 pm.


Following the Information Session, you can then apply to become a CYP Bereavement Volunteer.
