Casual Sales Assistants, Ballymena, 22 Mill Street, BT43 5AE
The main purpose of the casual sales role is to work under the supervision of the Shop Manager or Assistant Shop Manager in the fulfilment of tasks as required, the main responsibilities of this role are to:
- To greet customers entering the shop and assist shoppers to find the goods and products they are looking for
- Gift aid
- To accept/sort/price/store and/or display merchandise/ donations
- Being responsible for processing payments
- To keep the store tidy and clean
- To open/close shop, as required
- To undertake appropriate training, as required
- To work flexible hours on a rota basis which will include Saturday as required
- Any other duties that may be required by the Shop Manager.
Applicants must have:
- Experience of cash handling
- Excellent interpersonal skills
It is desirable that the post-holder has experience within the retail sector.
What we can offer you:
Salary Scale £11.44 per hour
Hours: as and when required. Our casual staff cover annual leave and other absence – no guaranteed hours every week
