Associate Counsellors (Children & Young People)

PIPS Hope & Support have a team of professional counsellors who work together offering professional crisis and suicide bereaved counselling support. The successful applicant will join the team as an Associate C&YP Counsellor and will have experience in Child & Young people mental health settings and in delivering evidence base psychological interventions and will be working with suicide bereaved children & Young people and those presenting with a range of mental health problems and provide time limited, evidence based treatment interventions to facilitate positive change for clients.
You will have (essential):-
- Diploma, Degree or Masters, or equivalent counselling or psychotherapy qualification as regulated by the RQF or SCQF and from a recognised or a relevant validating organisation e.g. Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB).
- Accredited member with BACP, IACP, UKCP or equivalent, or committed to achieve within 12 months.
- A minimum of 100 hours post qualification, clinically supervised practice in counselling children and young people up to age of 18 OR and have successfully completed the Level 5 CPCAP Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People.
- Experience of working clinically within statutory and/or voluntary agencies.
Please note if successful at interview, the applicant will have to complete an enhanced disclosure ACCESS NI check and attend mandatory training
Following the interviews a waiting list will be created for similar posts for a nine month period.
