Maritime Belfast is a small but dynamic charity, with a wide range of projects, assets and ambitions. It is an exciting time to be joining the team, as we build on the success of projects such as the iconic Titanic Belfast visitor attraction. We recently launched our vision for the future of Belfast’s waterfront promenade, and after carrying out an organisational review, are seeking additional staff to help deliver that vision. If you believe you have the relevant experience, vision, passion and enthusiasm, and are excited by this opportunity, we would be delighted to receive your application.
PURPOSE:
The primary purpose of the Assistant Operations Manager role is to manage and maintain Maritime Belfast’s assets ensuring a safe and high-quality visitor experience across the Maritime Mile, and in doing so fulfil Maritime Belfast’s health and safety requirements and sustainability obligations. Maritime Belfast’s assets include Titanic Belfast, SS Nomadic, The Great Light, SoundYard, RiverBox and Queen’s Quay Kiosk. Titanic Belfast and SS Nomadic are operated by a third-party operator and therefore the role in relation to these assets is primarily monitoring contractual requirements. For Maritime Belfast’s other assets, the role is day to day management of the assets, using specialist contractors as required e.g. cleaning services. The post holder will also support event and animation delivery across the Maritime Mile, ensuring appropriate event management plans, risk assessments and health and safety requirements are in place and actioned.
