ASD Supervisor and Respite Coordinator

The ASD Supervisor and Respite Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Sólás, in line with good practice and exceeding minimum standards for childcare provision.
The role will be Full Time at 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
Hours:
Monday - Wednesday 12.15pm - 8.15pm
Thursday - Friday 9.45am - 5.45pm
Frontline delivery time:
ASD Afterschool Supervisor (2.45pm - 5.45pm Monday - Friday / children in 3pm - 5.30pm)
Youth Supervisor (Monday- Wednesday 5.45pm - 8.15pm / children 6pm - 8pm)
Parent Health and Wellbeing Group (Friday 1 hour lunchtime)
The remaining 14 hours will be administration hours, used to complete paperwork attached to youth and afterschool clubs, coordinate frontline respite staff and plan for Parent Health and Wellbeing group.
The post holder will be responsible for leading on delivering childcare during the sessions, adherence to required BHSCT standards, toileting and feeding, liaising with service users and their families through email, phone and direct contact where appropriate, ensuring the safety and comfort of the children is a priority at all times, taking direction from manager and using own initiative where appropriate. He/she will also be required to work alongside other Sólás staff to ensure that the Autism and Social Development Programmes contribute effectively to the wider Sólás organisational objectives and are well represented both in the public and within the charity. The postholder will also perform driving / escort duties using the company vehicle(s).
The post-holder will work across different programmes depending on where the business need is. During the summer this will convert to a summer scheme supervisor role and the employee will be placed at different venue(s) according to business need.
Experience
- 2 years working with Children with additional needs essential.
- Ability to drive is essential for this role, desirable 25+ as can then drive Sólás vehicle under Sólás insurance.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
- Must hold a Level 5 in Play-work / Childcare Learning and Development or equivalent.

Job Types: Full-time, 2 year contract (continuous, subject to performance and funding)
Pay: £25,350.00 - £28,470.00 per year, depending on experience.
