Radius have partnered with various colleges in Northern Ireland, and we would like to invite applications for the following Apprenticeship role within our Care and Support team.
What does the role look like?
As an Apprentice within our team, we will provide you with a network of support, including expert supervision, and offer significant scope for professional and personal growth and development.
As a Care & Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents are supported in all aspects their daily lives.
Working as part of a team, you will provide our residents with the highest standard of care and safeguard them from harm.

Hours: 36 hours per week (This will be inclusive of the training programme which will take place within your workplace by a qualified trainer/assessor on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.)
The shift patterns will be: 8:00am to 8:00pm (12 hours)

The Association
Radius Housing provides quality and affordable social housing in over 80 towns and cities throughout Northern Ireland. We provide a range of services from sheltered housing for the over 55’s and general needs housing for families and single people, as well as specialist care and support facilities for the frail, elderly, people with dementia and learning disabilities and other complex needs.
Criteria
To be shortlisted candidates need to provide evidence of the following:
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English, as evidenced by a relevant qualification, or experience of demonstrating literacy in English in an education or work environment.
- A willingness to enrol on a level 2 or 3 Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care. More information regarding colleges offering such courses, is available via the following links:

- Basic numeracy skills, as evidenced by relevant qualification or use of numeracy in an education or work environment.
- Experience of working as part of a team.
- Willingness to undertake training for the role.
- Willingness to register with NISCC (Northern Ireland Social Care Council) as a requirement of the role.
