This course provides an opportunity to explore key factors to promote good practice in dealing with debt cases which includes: case management, referrals and quality frameworks, including support and supervision
Course Objectives
By the end of the course, you will:
- Know how to apply relevant strategies to client need
- Prepare and present a realistic assessment of the client’s financial circumstances
- Describe the factors to be taken into account when considering a strategy for dealing with a client’s debts
- Understand the processes for dealing with priority and non-priority debts on behalf of clients
- Prepare and present arguments to creditors in support of the strategy agreed with the client
- Identify possible options where a creditor will not agree the chosen strategy
- Understand the importance and use of the casework management system of own agency
- Understand the role of enforcement agents in your jurisdiction
- Implement the agreed strategy.
