Recognise and practice key communication skills for effective and confident negotiations. Including the process, behaviours, styles, tactics and strategies to use.
This skilled level course is designed to provide you with tips and tactics to enable a successful outcome to negotiating with creditors and other key persons involved with debt. This is a core course for those seeking Money and Pension Service (MaPS) accreditation at Advice Work or above.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Recognise types of negotiation
- Prepare for negotiation
- Explore the stages of negotiation
- Deal with difficult people
- Gain an insight into identifying objectives
Prerequisites
Completion of the Introduction to Providing Debt Advice Course (or equivalent) is required as a pre-requisite for this course.
