Wiseradviser: Good Practice Dealing with Debt

This Generalist level course is designed for advisers dealing with debt at all levels, who want to provide a high quality and measurable debt advice service.
This course provides an opportunity to explore key factors to promote good practice in dealing with debt cases which includes; case management, referrals and quality frameworks, including support and supervision.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
- Signpost / refer individuals for further support
- Recognise the three levels of money advice and interpret their effect on practice
- Understand how codes of practice can be used in debt advice
- Know how to accurately define your service
- Understand how to communicate with clients to identify and deal with a debt situation
- Understand how to empower clients in dealing with a debt situation
Prerequisites
Completion of the Introduction to Providing Debt Advice Course (or equivalent) is required as a pre-requisite for this course.
